00:06:12.000 | But sin is the origin, and now every incident of anything that's not according to what you would deem good

00:06:43.000 | And we understand by the stuff we see in the courtroom of God that that was not because of his doing.
00:06:51.000 | It was a testing that was given to him.
00:06:54.000 | And God's testing and the enemy's working sometimes do come into alignment because of the whole sovereignty of God.
00:07:03.000 | So yeah, the correlation isn't direct, but it's obvious.

00:07:52.000 | And I was remembering like, man, that's really cool that in the words of scripture, we see-- like the epistles, for example, the different personalities coming out.
00:08:01.000 | Like it's funny to me when I read Paul versus when I read something from John.
00:08:06.000 | It sounds so different, and you can almost like feel their personality coming out.
00:08:10.000 | It reminds me of the end when-- like even with someone like Peter.
00:08:16.000 | Peter looking at Jesus saying, well, what about John, though?
00:08:19.000 | You know, like what are you going to do with him?
00:08:21.000 | Like you see-- you sense and realize like, oh, like in scripture, you can see how God uses people in individual personalities and ways.
00:08:29.000 | And so the text that we have, as we talk about authority of scripture and handling objections, that being the primary thing, really feel the confidence of knowing why we believe this.
00:08:44.000 | So maybe once we get it uploaded, I'll send that link to everybody.
00:08:48.000 | If you weren't at that family retreat and you weren't able to hear the canon of scripture seminar, maybe you can kind of take a listen to that on your own.
00:08:55.000 | Because it's very helpful to be able to go out there and feel the confidence, like knowing, man, but there's reasoning behind why I believe in scripture.
00:09:05.000 | So, okay, let me pray for us, and then let's go into this.
00:09:11.000 | Heavenly Father, we thank you for this class.
00:09:13.000 | We pray first for BAM as they're on their last session now.
00:09:17.000 | And as they've been talking about all these issues that are very specific to them.
00:09:23.000 | Lord, would you allow them to be teachable and humble, to be ready to listen and to hear and to obey and heed and not just say that they understand, but God, that understanding would flow into lifestyle.
00:09:36.000 | That they would come back, that they would share with us what they learned.
00:09:39.000 | Father, that they'd be faithful to you and to their call as believers.
00:09:44.000 | We pray for those that are at that retreat that aren't believers, that you would allow them to see you, maybe clearly for the first time, and that they would turn from their rebellious ways and to place their faith in the risen Christ.
00:09:57.000 | I pray for today's class, that as we go into this material on humanity, as we talk about depravity and sin and brokenness, Lord, that we would not be going out to this world to evangelize with this idea of what we need to teach others.
00:10:11.000 | But Father, we would remember even what it says in Ephesians 2, "We were once this."
00:10:16.000 | We were once fallen, we were once in darkness.
00:10:19.000 | Father, we don't preach this apart from ourselves.
00:10:22.000 | God, this is our truth and our reality.
00:10:25.000 | Lord, you have transferred us from the domain of darkness into the domain of light.
00:10:29.000 | God, you rescued us where we had no ability to rescue ourselves.
00:10:34.000 | Father, there was nothing good in us.
00:10:36.000 | There was only you looking down upon sinful and depraved man.
00:10:40.000 | And you chose to save me.
00:10:42.000 | And so God, help us to take this and look at it in the lens of not just some kind of theology that we might study very sterilely, but God, that this would cause in us a deep gratitude.
00:10:55.000 | That when we go to people, they would not be judged by us, but God, that they would see and they would understand through the living testimony that walks in front of them, through us, who you are and what you've done.

00:11:57.000 | Okay, just to review, our mission is God's purpose, our passion is God's glory, our heart is love and obedience, our evangelism is God-centered, our confidence is God's sovereignty.
00:12:13.000 | Those are the five things we learned in lesson one.
00:12:16.000 | This needs to be the anchoring idea.
00:12:18.000 | Remember, our mission is like, we can look at each one and say these are good thoughts, but you actually kind of need to have it memorized in your heart, right?
00:12:28.000 | So when you're going out, you have to ask yourself, you can't be out there coaching yourself and saying, man, why am I doing this again?
00:12:37.000 | It needs to be instilled inside of you that this is God's purpose, that this is how we're wired.
00:12:42.000 | Almost the way, I was watching this big heavyweight boxing match the other day, and they're boxing, and you realize all the training that they do isn't to go out into the ring and to think, oh, a punch is coming at me, I need to dodge.
00:12:58.000 | The training is there so that when you're out there, it's instilled in you, it's reactive.
00:13:03.000 | And so constantly, like every moment, this thing is still coursing through you that I'm on a mission here, and that mission isn't for me to assuage some kind of Christian guilt or to go out into, in the middle of it, you forget, and you're like debating this person, you're just trying to beat them in an argument or something.
00:13:21.000 | No, you're saying like, what is God's purpose here?
00:13:23.000 | And constantly, this is your anchoring thought.
00:13:25.000 | Our passion, obviously God's glory.
00:13:28.000 | Our heart, there is a difference in each of these words, but in our heart, it's done out of love and obedience.
00:13:36.000 | Those come concurrent to each other.
00:13:38.000 | And our evangelism is God-centered, remember, not man-centered.
00:13:42.000 | I hope you were able to look through that list.
00:13:44.000 | And our confidence, then, at the end, after all of that, our great confidence is that God is sovereign over all things, and that we are called, then, to be faithful in preaching God's message.
00:13:54.000 | So, that's when we kind of went into, last week, on God being the center point of everything, that God is creator, God is holy.
00:14:03.000 | There is so much more we should have gone into.
00:14:06.000 | We could have had like five lessons just on the holiness of God, and it would have been very, very, I would say even necessary for us to insert into evangelism training.
00:14:16.000 | So necessary, because we can't just be like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, God is holy, but we need to really believe that.
00:14:23.000 | That this can't be something you're told to do, but it needs to be something that is yours.
00:14:30.000 | So there's difference between something being truthful and something being your truth.
00:14:35.000 | We can nod and say, like, God is holy, God is creator, but when it's your truth, you're wired that way.
00:14:41.000 | So when you're going out, you don't find yourself, without realizing it, really swayed by a man-centered worldview.
00:14:50.000 | And you don't even realize it.
00:14:53.000 | And so it does come down to your own personal walk.
00:14:55.000 | All of this stuff is very important to your view of God before we go out and preach it.
00:15:04.000 | So, let's go ahead and, in the introduction, this is just a short little exercise.
00:15:10.000 | I'm just going to give you about a minute.
00:15:12.000 | You don't need to do complete sentences or anything.
00:15:14.000 | This is for you.
00:15:15.000 | How does the modern, normal, quasi-agnostic, post-Christian American view himself?
00:15:20.000 | There's no right answer to this.
00:15:21.000 | And how does the modern, down-the-street American Catholic view himself?
00:15:25.000 | So why don't you fill that out?
00:15:31.000 | Like, you can just say, kind of.
00:15:55.000 | Okay, if you haven't, move on to the next one.
00:16:04.000 | The American Catholic.
00:16:15.000 | As you finish up here, the reason for this exercise is because this is very important for you to do as you evangelize.
00:16:34.000 | You can't be coming with just totally in your worldview,
00:16:41.000 | even though we're trying to bring them into a biblical worldview,
00:16:44.000 | to be able to walk to where they're at and draw them in is very important.
00:16:48.000 | Because if you're there and you treat every person as unbeliever,
00:16:54.000 | there's an unbeliever in front of me,
00:16:56.000 | while that's spiritually true, they're wired very differently.
00:16:59.000 | And so even on Mars Hill, when you see what the Apostle Paul does with a very Greek-centered society,
00:17:06.000 | he goes and he understands where they're coming from.
00:17:09.000 | And so when you come to some person, as we go evangelize in a couple weeks,
00:17:15.000 | is that this Saturday? Or is that on two Saturdays?
00:17:18.000 | It's on two Saturdays.
00:17:19.000 | But when we're out there, we have to be able to kind of think like,
00:17:23.000 | "Oh, what are they thinking? Why are they speaking in the way they're speaking?
00:17:27.000 | Why are they getting defensive when I said that?
00:17:30.000 | Why are they even agreeing?"
00:17:32.000 | Even that kind of stuff will be based upon where they're coming from.
00:17:36.000 | So if you're not sharp into understanding who they are,
00:17:41.000 | then what's going to happen is they're going to be like, "Oh, yeah. I agree with that."
00:17:46.000 | And then you realize a lot of Jehovah's Witnesses will do something like that.
00:17:50.000 | But if you see, "Oh, they're a Jehovah's Witness and they're agreeing with you,"
00:17:53.000 | you're like, "No, no, no. You're nodding your head, but I don't think you understand what I'm saying."
00:17:57.000 | There's a difference.
00:17:59.000 | So we have to see and understand where they're coming from.
00:18:03.000 | So moving into biblical anthropology, created in God's image.
00:18:10.000 | God-centered ED shows who man is from God's perspective.
00:18:14.000 | That's why we started last week with who God is.
00:18:17.000 | But now with who God is, keeping in mind His holiness, keeping in mind His perfection,
00:18:22.000 | and the fact that He made all things good,
00:18:25.000 | then the fact is that we are made in God's image.
00:18:30.000 | You know the first two questions that were...
00:18:33.000 | Do you think you could go over some of it?
00:18:35.000 | Oh, we can.
00:18:38.000 | How about we'll come back to it if we have time at the end?
00:18:42.000 | This was just an exercise.
00:18:44.000 | But we can think like American Catholics maybe will think like,
00:18:49.000 | in the line of, "If I sin, I'll go and I'll get it covered over by the priest,
00:18:54.000 | by confessions, and Hail Mary's, and doing the..."

00:19:12.000 | And I was like, "Oh, I don't think I could do that."

00:19:23.000 | So letter A, "The culminating aspect of creation
00:19:27.000 | was God's creation of man in the image of God.
00:19:30.000 | The image of God has big implications for apologetics."
00:19:35.000 | Maybe this time we'll start from the back.

00:19:41.000 | "Then God said, 'Let us make man our image, and bring him to our loved ones,
00:19:45.000 | and let them move over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky,
00:19:49.000 | and over the camel, and over all the earth, and over every living thing that lives on the earth.'"
00:19:55.000 | Okay. And then Andy, can you read the next one?
00:19:59.000 | "Genesis 127, God created man in his own image, and the image of God he created in his own image."

00:20:08.000 | "Genesis 96, "Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed,

00:20:15.000 | So the first two there are showing us that we are made in man image,
00:20:20.000 | but the third one there is going to be showing the implication of that.
00:20:23.000 | That's just one implication.
00:20:25.000 | That that's why killing someone is wrong.
00:20:29.000 | Even as Christians we can say, "Oh, it's wrong to do all these things without understanding."
00:20:35.000 | Men's accountability.
00:20:38.000 | There are a lot of times where you talk about something like pornography.
00:20:42.000 | Why is it wrong?
00:20:43.000 | And you get to this issue of like, "Why is lusting wrong?"
00:20:45.000 | And all these things.
00:20:46.000 | And there are a lot of young men who will go into it and be like,
00:20:49.000 | "You know what? I'm not sure why it's wrong.
00:20:51.000 | I just know it's wrong because the Bible says it's wrong."
00:20:53.000 | There's something kind of good, and simple, and childlike in that,
00:20:58.000 | and just like, "God said it's wrong, and so we should believe it."
00:21:00.000 | But the implications do flow out of who God is, and it's there for us.
00:21:06.000 | So when we see an unbelieving person, even for us, our world view needs to be just that.
00:21:12.000 | This person, this man, this woman was made in the image of God.
00:21:16.000 | And so when we see them talking, when we hear what they're saying,
00:21:20.000 | we should be able to see that big gap, that big divide of who they were made to be and where they are.
00:21:27.000 | So you can see even that thinking, what that's going to start to stir in your heart.
00:21:34.000 | We need to have this God-centered image of people.
00:21:39.000 | Moving on to letter B.
00:21:42.000 | Implications of the image of God.
00:21:45.000 | Creation in the image of God is the basis for human uniqueness and dignity.
00:21:50.000 | No other created being is said to be created in the image and likeness of God.
00:21:54.000 | Thus, humans have a special place of dignity and responsibility
00:21:58.000 | that is not shared by other created beings on the earth.
00:22:05.000 | I hope this kind of prickles your feathers a little bit or whatever that thing is,
00:22:12.000 | because today's day and age is big on the self-esteem culture,
00:22:17.000 | on human worth, value, and dignity.
00:22:20.000 | But it feels very empty. It feels like there's no heaviness or weight behind it.
00:22:24.000 | So as Christians, we actually should be like, "Man, we absolutely agree with you,
00:22:30.000 | except you're completely off base.
00:22:33.000 | You're saying the right thing with everything else under it being wrong."
00:22:36.000 | So the whole thing becomes wrong.
00:22:38.000 | For us, we should be the first ones to lead the charge on human dignity.
00:22:42.000 | We should be the first ones.
00:22:44.000 | That's why the Christians, during the time of Scripture,
00:22:47.000 | but even today, in times of disaster, when there's need,
00:22:51.000 | Christians ought to be the first ones to stand up and go and to help.
00:22:57.000 | Because we have a more theocentric worldview.
00:23:01.000 | We have a higher view of people than any unbeliever has on people.
00:23:07.000 | And it's very powerful.
00:23:08.000 | The man-centered worldview on human dignity is very powerful.
00:23:15.000 | That's what's happening nowadays.
00:23:16.000 | And social media has expedited it.
00:23:20.000 | So even amongst young junior high students,
00:23:25.000 | I remember seeing this Instagram post.
00:23:30.000 | I saw she's like 12 years old.
00:23:31.000 | I'm like, "Don't you have to be 13?"
00:23:33.000 | But she's on this thing, and then she puts up a selfie.
00:23:36.000 | I'm like, "Man, where's all your clothes?
00:23:38.000 | What are you doing? You're 12."
00:23:40.000 | And then you see all these girls underneath it putting up little flame emojis,
00:23:46.000 | going like, "Yeah, you go, girl," and they're hot and stuff like that.
00:23:51.000 | I'm like, "Oh, my gosh. This is so disturbing."
00:23:55.000 | And so the man-centered worldview on human dignity right now is off the charts.
00:24:01.000 | It's so heavy because it's not us just trying to do what's right in my own eyes,
00:24:05.000 | but collectively as humanity, we're elevating ourselves, kind of Babel-like.
00:24:13.000 | But the God-centered worldview of human dignity ought to be even more powerful than that.
00:24:19.000 | So instill these things inside of yourself as you go to evangelize.
00:24:25.000 | Okay, number one.
00:24:26.000 | So here are some of the implications.
00:24:27.000 | To kill a human is an attack upon God.
00:24:29.000 | That's why it says that in Genesis 9:6.
00:24:32.000 | To curse a human is an affront to God.
00:24:34.000 | In James 3:9, it says, "With it we bless our Lord and Father,
00:24:37.000 | and with it we curse men who have been made in the likeness of God."
00:24:41.000 | So there are great implications to being created in God's image.
00:24:50.000 | So we're not going to sit on this one for too long,
00:24:52.000 | but here are some of the useful questions.
00:24:58.000 | So as you're talking to people and you're trying to first see, okay, number one,
00:25:02.000 | who is this person?
00:25:04.000 | Where are they coming from?
00:25:05.000 | You know, you've already listened to them.
00:25:07.000 | You know now that they come from an Islamic background,
00:25:12.000 | and so you've read a little bit on Islam,
00:25:16.000 | and so you kind of have some of their tenets.
00:25:19.000 | And as you're talking, you're realizing, oh, but they're a nominal Muslim.
00:25:22.000 | So how might they be thinking?
00:25:25.000 | So we're kind of going into all of that,
00:25:27.000 | and we're anchoring ourselves now on a God-centered gospel.
00:25:31.000 | And so no matter what we're talking about, no matter what they're saying,
00:25:34.000 | we're thinking constantly like God being the anchor to all of this.
00:25:38.000 | He is holy.
00:25:39.000 | He is creator.
00:25:42.000 | Now as we're talking to them, we have something in common here, right?
00:25:47.000 | We can get to the God thing, but even here, we have something in common,
00:25:50.000 | that we have this idea of the inherent and intrinsic sinfulness of mankind,
00:25:55.000 | and we share that common bond.
00:25:58.000 | And so when we're talking,
00:26:00.000 | the questions that we ask is trying to draw them to the biblical worldview,
00:26:06.000 | because we understand that they have things,

00:47:11.000 | Everyone has guilt, and nobody can live with guilt.

00:47:16.000 | That is where some of the religions came out of.
00:47:18.000 | That is why people are angry against God, because that is a fight against guilt.
00:47:21.000 | And there is a lot of things, so there is no peace in that.
00:47:24.000 | You can convince people of hopelessness in this world,
00:47:27.000 | of evil that is all around,
00:47:29.000 | of the difficulty of living in a fallen world,
00:47:31.000 | all because we are separated from God.
00:47:33.000 | And so this is the immediate consequence.

00:47:38.000 | Our highlight is the, you should reveal the eternal consequences.

00:51:24.000 | There's a lot of things that you can get them to feel bad about,

00:51:29.000 | It needs to be before God's holy standard.
00:51:32.000 | Then another mistake not to fall into is the danger is that
00:51:37.000 | everyone's life includes that cause of dissatisfaction or shame.
00:51:40.000 | Everyone has a bad conscience about something in his or her past,
00:51:44.000 | matters in which he has fallen short of the standard
00:51:46.000 | which he set for himself or what was expected of him by others.
00:51:49.000 | The danger is that in our evangelism,
00:51:51.000 | we should be content with evoking thoughts of these things
00:51:53.000 | and making people feel uncomfortable about them.
00:51:55.000 | We want them to feel uncomfortable.
00:51:57.000 | Then depicting Christ as the one who saves us from these elements of ourselves
00:52:01.000 | without even raising the question of our relationship with God.
00:52:04.000 | Remember, this sentence is saying what we ought not to do
00:52:07.000 | to make them uncomfortable about being a flawed individual.
00:52:11.000 | However, this is the question that needs to be raised,
00:52:14.000 | whether they understand as the Bible states that their sins are against God and God alone,
00:52:18.000 | and that sin has disrupted man's relationship with God.
00:52:21.000 | So Packer says in the book Evangelism and Sovereignty of God,
00:52:25.000 | "Not till we have learned our need to get right with God
00:52:28.000 | and our inability to do so by any effort of our own
00:52:31.000 | can we come to know the Christ who saves from sin."

00:53:50.000 | And you know, it's so tempting in that place to be like,
00:53:53.000 | "But Christ came to love you and save you," and all that kind of stuff.
00:53:57.000 | But the thought that was in my heart was like,
00:54:00.000 | "Oh, man, this guy's crying because he is so full of himself right now."
00:54:06.000 | It was kind of a mean thought to have, but I think very biblical
00:54:10.000 | because he was breaking down crying because he felt like his life was just a mess.
00:54:15.000 | And he was just sad because his life was such a mess.
00:54:18.000 | And his eyes wasn't looking out and crying out for a God,
00:54:21.000 | but it's because he was just sad over his general condition in life.
00:54:27.000 | And you can have people who look like humble people,
00:54:31.000 | and you realize they are in just the grips of arrogance even in those places.
00:54:37.000 | And so when you nail the second nail down, the first one being who God is,
00:54:42.000 | second one being humanity, when you're nailing this down,
00:54:45.000 | remember it's before God, before God, His standard.
00:54:48.000 | Like, what have you done?
00:54:50.000 | What is it that we're trying to convince this person of?
00:54:53.000 | That through us, that God is trying to make them see this truth
00:54:58.000 | and that we're not deviating from His message here.

00:56:39.000 | If your mind is dead set on evangelizing about the Gospel,
00:56:43.000 | everything they say hits you like a tuning fork.
00:56:47.000 | It hits it and it vibrates.
00:56:50.000 | So you feel it and you're like, "Oh, hey!"
00:56:54.000 | But non-believers borrow the Christian worldview every day of their lives.
00:57:03.000 | Every single day of their lives.
00:57:04.000 | They're saying something that's biblical, and they just don't realize it.
00:57:08.000 | We have to be able to sense it and be like, "You can't get away with that."
00:57:13.000 | When atheists talk about good and evil, you can't let them get away with that.
00:57:18.000 | They can say, "I kind of thought through it and all that,
00:57:21.000 | but why don't you have any idea of good and evil?
00:57:24.000 | What kind of paradigm are you following?"
00:57:27.000 | So you grasp onto it, and they're going to bring up things.
00:57:30.000 | They're going to realize that there are some people,
00:57:33.000 | or as you talk and you get closer, things are going to surface.
00:57:37.000 | At first, they're going to not say things, but then after a while,
00:57:42.000 | they're going to come up with a little bit of it.
00:57:44.000 | You just kind of grasp onto it and dig at it and see what the bigger thing is.
00:58:02.000 | So with each person, you have to take into consideration your personality and their personality.
00:58:08.000 | So yours, you know who you are.
00:58:10.000 | So when this quiet guy gets all, "How do I evangelize now?"
00:58:16.000 | And then he starts to be someone he's not.
00:58:18.000 | He starts to be Paul Washer or something.
00:58:20.000 | And you're like, "Don't be like that."
00:58:23.000 | Evangelize the way God has made you.
00:58:25.000 | So you go, and it's not that you have to pound into it,
00:58:29.000 | but if they say something, you can ask more questions.
00:58:34.000 | "Oh, I totally agree with what you're saying."
00:58:36.000 | Let them talk some more.
00:58:38.000 | And as they're talking some more, keep feeding the parts where you agree.
00:58:43.000 | "Oh yeah, totally."
00:58:45.000 | If they say something you disagree with, you let it go or say, "I disagree."
00:58:49.000 | So slowly you're building up inner relationship.
00:58:52.000 | You're not kind of tilling the sword, almost.
00:58:55.000 | So that you're pulling out the roots of the things that would be not right.
00:59:03.000 | And you're kind of encouraging the growth of the biblical worldview that they are saying.
00:59:08.000 | You will get them to a point. I guarantee you.
00:59:10.000 | It's happened in every unbeliever.
00:59:12.000 | You just hit points.
00:59:13.000 | Whether they just decide, "I'm just not going to believe you anyway," that happens.
00:59:19.000 | But it's easy to get them to a point and till them until they're like, "You're kind of an innocent guy."
00:59:28.000 | Is that maybe what I'm saying?
00:59:30.000 | I felt like that was very unclear.
00:59:32.000 | No, no. It was actually very clear when you said it.

00:59:36.000 | A lot of relational things are very like, things will kind of like, you say,
00:59:42.000 | they'll say something biblical and you're like, "Yeah, I totally agree with that."
00:59:46.000 | And then they go to a completely different turn.

00:59:51.000 | Most people out there are religious.
00:59:53.000 | A very small percent of people don't believe in God.
00:59:57.000 | That's a huge starting point.
00:59:59.000 | For people to believe in God, that's huge.

01:00:06.000 | So I've had people who aren't believers just say, "I know everything's going to be okay."
01:00:13.000 | And you could just be like, "Oh, but why do you believe that?"
01:00:17.000 | So they just say something in passing and it rings in me.
01:00:22.000 | And so you grasp onto that.
01:00:24.000 | So at some points, don't jump all over it.
01:00:27.000 | Don't be like a rabbit pit bull and like, "Ahh, he said," you know.

01:00:32.000 | But you're like collecting these thoughts.
01:00:34.000 | You're constantly, like your desire is for them to know Christ.
01:00:38.000 | And so even in times where you're not in the evangelism mood, you're still in evangelism mood.

01:00:47.000 | Because your only hope is, you know, in the pretense of truth, Christ is exalted.
01:00:53.000 | So everything you see, like, "Christ is exalted, Christ is exalted, Christ is exalted."

01:00:59.000 | So if we're like not doing that, and then we one day, like, we're like, "Well, I'm taking an evangelism class.
01:01:05.000 | Our church is going to evangelism. I'm just going to preach the evangelism.

01:01:11.000 | Any time that's safe, you're doing a good service.

01:01:48.000 | First things first, he clearly didn't create us with a sin nature, right?

01:02:07.000 | A lot of people use the idea of free will flippantly.
01:02:10.000 | And they think it's the ability to choose whatever you want, which is not true in life in general.

01:02:53.000 | There's a lot of problems that come out.

01:04:50.000 | We're having a discussion in our territory.
01:04:52.000 | It's just like, it's always for the gospel.
01:04:58.000 | I always bring it back to the gospel.

01:05:02.000 | It's because we believe that that's the truth.
01:05:06.000 | Unbelievers out there, they'll have instances of truth, little bits of truth.
01:05:11.000 | And then what happens is the way they live and the way they talk and the way they think
01:05:17.000 | proves a different truth, the true truth.
01:05:22.000 | So they point to these things, but you're like, "That's actually not the problem.
01:05:27.000 | That's not what's going on here."
01:05:29.000 | You can't use that as an excuse.
01:05:31.000 | It's logically inconsistent intellectually on Facebook for you to bring up these things.
01:05:35.000 | And say that's why you don't believe it.
01:05:37.000 | But then everything the way you live actually is living in front of you.
01:05:41.000 | And I see it in Scripture.
01:05:43.000 | In terms of like, the fact that you believe in God.
01:05:47.000 | And you can't just say, "I believe in God."
01:05:49.000 | And you're like, "Why don't I believe in anything else?"
01:05:51.000 | Because what we're seeing is God's spoken.
01:05:54.000 | That there is something consistent to truth here.
01:05:59.000 | Don't bring these questions up.

01:06:03.000 | And we're only saying this because it's here.
01:06:06.000 | The way we answer it, though, is very different than how we're saying it.

01:06:35.000 | When you were dealing with someone who had a broken heart because of the situation they had in life, how do you turn the conversation back to them not to feel sorry about it, but then to feel sorry about how their life went, to come to grips with the fact that they failed to uphold God's true standard?

01:07:02.000 | You know, it seems hard when you look at it like a vacuum, but when you're talking to individuals, it's actually easy.

01:07:39.000 | And in their depression, you see, "Oh, man, you are spitting vitriol out to people about God.

01:07:56.000 | "You are a self-centered, conceited individual."

01:10:11.000 | But, you say, "But, do you agree with me that either I am right or you are wrong?"

01:10:19.000 | And if I am right that you are wrong, do you agree with that?
01:10:23.000 | You have to get them through that crossroads.
01:10:25.000 | Don't let them hang in that postmodern fall.
