we're talking about the governmental leaders, it is now. 00:16:09.000 |
The Bible tells us that we need to be praying for our leaders, 00:16:12.000 |
and those who are in authority, so that we may live peaceful and quiet lives. 00:16:19.000 |
We need to be praying for the vice president. 00:16:21.000 |
We need to be praying for our governor and the local leaders. 00:16:25.000 |
So if there's any time where we need to put aside our party affiliations 00:16:32.000 |
That they would make sound judgments as what is best for the country, 00:16:38.000 |
And again, that no matter where you stand politically, 00:16:42.000 |
this is a time we really need to be praying for our leaders. 00:16:46.000 |
I wanna get to a few things of announcements before we start our praise. 00:16:52.000 |
First of all, since we're online, there's gonna be more and more things 00:16:56.000 |
that we're gonna be trying to address online. 00:17:02.000 |
Our leaders are talking almost daily to talk about 00:17:05.000 |
how can we keep the church connected during this time. 00:17:12.000 |
you've probably already seen a lot of stuff being posted on Instagram already. 00:17:16.000 |
And our media team is working overtime to make sure that all this is being taken care of. 00:17:24.000 |
if you're one of those people that only checks Facebook every once in a while, 00:17:28.000 |
we encourage you while you're at home to at least check as often as you can 00:17:32.000 |
because we're gonna try to put more content on there, 00:17:35.000 |
whether it is video, whether it is encouragement. 00:17:42.000 |
We're gonna be doing that, and things are gonna be changing day to day. 00:17:45.000 |
As an announcement going forward, our Easter events that was scheduled 00:17:49.000 |
for the next, I think, two to three weeks coming up, 00:17:52.000 |
we are gonna be having those. We're not canceling any of those. 00:17:58.000 |
So the devotions that we plan to do during the weekday, 00:18:03.000 |
So our pastors are gonna be leading us through devotions of what's going on each day 00:18:09.000 |
Thursday night when we had our Passover meal, 00:18:11.000 |
obviously we're not gonna be able to do that. 00:18:14.000 |
But there will be a devotion that will be given that night as well. 00:18:17.000 |
And then the Good Friday, we won't be able to physically gather, 00:18:22.000 |
but assuming that we are still at the same stage, 00:18:26.000 |
that we're gonna be having Good Friday online as well 00:18:32.000 |
Most likely, we will not have early-rise service, 00:18:36.000 |
So if you're inviting people to watch with you 00:18:41.000 |
just let them know that all those things are taking place, 00:18:43.000 |
and we're in the process right now of trying to get all that stuff ready. 00:18:47.000 |
A couple of things that, again, I wanna, since today is our first time, 00:19:01.000 |

and even the worship, the lyrics are gonna be shown on the screen simultaneously. 00:19:16.000 |
But for this week, we weren't sure if we were gonna be able to do that, 00:19:20.000 |

So the one you have probably has a little bit more, you know, clip art on it, 00:19:37.000 |
but I made this so that the children that you're worshipping with 00:19:40.000 |
can also worship with you, and it's just basic outline 00:19:43.000 |
for them to pay attention to the larger understanding. 00:19:47.000 |
The sermons are obviously gonna be geared more toward the adults, 00:19:50.000 |
but hopefully if you have children who are a little bit older who can read, 00:19:53.000 |
that they can follow along and answer some questions. 00:19:56.000 |
And this will be helpful if you, after the service, 00:19:59.000 |
if you want to take some time to discuss with your children 00:20:01.000 |
about the content of the sermon, or at least the part that they understood, 00:20:06.000 |
And so for the adults, you probably won't be getting the outline. 00:20:10.000 |
You'll be seeing it on the screen, but you might get like a basic outline. 00:20:13.000 |
But for the children, I'm gonna do my best to get one of these out, 00:20:17.000 |
maybe on Saturday night, so that you'll have something to work with with your children. 00:20:22.000 |

we're gonna, we're switching out the order of our worship a little bit. 00:20:34.000 |
We're gonna actually start with the offering. 00:20:38.000 |

So during the offering time, we're asking you to obviously go online. 00:20:47.000 |
There's instructions there, whether through PayPal or Venmo, whatever avenues. 00:20:54.000 |
we don't want our Sunday worship to kind of look like, you know, like a Bible study, 00:20:58.000 |
where we just kind of go through the material and that's it. 00:21:02.000 |
We want that to mimic our live worship as much as possible. 00:21:08.000 |
because that is an act of worship that we're giving to God, 00:21:11.000 |
we're asking you to take some time to be intentional with that. 00:21:15.000 |
And even Sunday worship, that you would approach it with the, 00:21:22.000 |
That even though you are most likely sitting in your living rooms or bedrooms, 00:21:25.000 |
or maybe in front of your computer on your desk, 00:21:28.000 |
that there would be a sense of reverence toward what we're doing. 00:21:31.000 |
That you'd be intentional with your family to sit together. 00:21:37.000 |
like you would do on Sunday, except you'll be at home. 00:21:41.000 |
And whatever that may entail in your household, 00:21:47.000 |

You are a God who truly deserves all our worship, all our attention. 00:22:20.000 |
I pray for our Berean families who are scattered, 00:22:23.000 |
and in our own homes, in our various places, Lord God, 00:22:29.000 |
We also pray for the guests who have come and are participating in this worship, 00:22:34.000 |
that your Holy Spirit, through your word, would speak to us, 00:23:01.000 |
I pray, Father God, that they may be able to make decisions 00:23:04.000 |
that are ultimately for the good of the country and good of this world. 00:23:08.000 |
We pray for our health workers, Lord God, who are on the front line, 00:23:11.000 |
who are being exposed to the virus day to day. 00:23:22.000 |
I pray, Father God, that you give them opportunity to shine Christ 00:23:27.000 |
We pray that what we are doing here online, Lord God, 00:23:30.000 |
would not diminish our worship that we give to you.
