Dwight Howard On Being A NBA Hall Of Famer

Transcript

A lot of people just forget how dominant and how special you were. And that moment, being inducted first ballot Hall of Famer, how was that for you? It was crazy because they had told me before I went in that I was going to get a call about something during the week.

And when I saw Hall of Fame, like on my ID, I was like, oh my God. 450 people in the Hall of Fame, and he's explaining this to me. And why he's doing that, I could just see in the back of my head all the moments as a child.

Me working out, running up hills, doing sprints on the track, all these different moments. And I just started boo-hoo crying. And I cried for about 45 minutes just thinking about everything. Championship, All-Stars, all these, that comes from hard work. And all that hard work, the dedication, the sacrifice, it led to this orange jacket and getting into heaven.

That's what it felt like. As a Christian, it felt like hearing, passing away, waking up at the pearly gates, and hearing God say, well done, my good and faithful servant. That's how it felt. Every time people see Howard, it's going to be associated with Hall of Fame.
