How to See the Good in People Again — From Cynicism to Hopeful Skepticism

How do you start to move yourself towards more hopeful skepticism? - I want us to stop thinking like lawyers and start thinking, acting, and sharing like scientists. And the theory underlying this is that hope is not sort of sunshine, roses, it's not pie in the sky thinking, that hope can be highly practical and data-driven.

Because of negativity bias, because of cynicism, most of us underestimate each other. We don't realize how trustworthy, kind, compassionate, and open-minded most people are. So we're missing all these opportunities. So how do we get them back? Well, we need to not look away from problems, but look more closely at problems and at the people around us.
