The effort paradox is the idea that you have to put in more effort in order for something to appear effortless watching Roger Federer play tennis in his prime. If you're a tennis fan is a perfect example of this. Like his strokes just look completely effortless, but they're the result of thousands and thousands of hours of compounded, effortful practice.

It appears effortless, but there is a studied element to it. Like you've worked so hard to make something appear effortless. And that is the goal that all of us are pursuing reaching that level of like unconscious competence in something where you can just do it and make it appear completely effortless to do the thing that's kind of the pursuit that we're all on and whatever our field or craft is, is to reach that level of elegance in our, in the way that we move.
