I take the founder role very seriously. If the founder slot is filled, you have incredible ability to change the company. The key thing is subtraction. And this is where the founder slot's energy comes from. It seems to me that it's only founders who subtract in companies. This is the meeting thing in a nutshell.
Everyone adds recurring meetings and gums up the system. I'm super pro great meetings, but once every couple, year and a half or so, we randomly delete all recurring meetings. We're actually gonna do random deletion of Slack channels and all these kind of things, just because they will come back if they are useful.
