You're also very known for the Black Ops runs, which every player has come through that gym. I love watching Trey when he was in there killing. I like watching when Bron and KD were going at it. How did the Black Ops runs come about? So Mellow used to do this thing called Stay Mellow.

Mellow's like, yo, when we get back to New York, I want you to put together a run. So I reach out to guys. I get KD. I get Kimball Walker at the time. We do this run, but I'm coaching with the Knicks. Someone else posted it. I walk into the office.

They're like, you need to go talk to the owner. He's like, you know, you doing that run just got the team fined $50,000, right? And I'm like, damn. And I'm thinking I'm about to get fired. And he's like, you know, just don't do it again. I'm not mad at you.

What was the problem? If you're a coach with a team, you're not allowed to technically work with it. It'd be recruiting. So then I stopped doing it. And that was also part of the reason why I left the Knicks. I want to be able to do my own thing.
