Berean Community Church Wednesday Night Bible Study 11/20/24

- Good evening, everybody. Let's go ahead and get settled into our tables and groups, and then in just one moment, we'll get started with time of praise. All right, let's take a moment to prepare our hearts with a moment of prayer together. Heavenly Father, we are so grateful to you. On each season, God, we are grateful for your provision, your presence, and more. And God, we wanna prepare our hearts tonight for Bible study, asking God that you administer to us by helping us focus our minds, ready our hearts, God, that we would really engage in the discussion, we would gain so much from the teaching. And in all of this, Father, God, every time we come together as a church, that this would not just simply a weekday activity, but rather it's a faith activity, Lord, we would come together in spirit and desiring your truth.

And we ask God that as some of us have doing this for many seasons, would you grant to us that growth, growth of mind, growth of faith and heart, that the things that we are exposed to would continue just to minister to our souls. And then, Lord, every time we raise our voices to you, we pray, God, that our hearts would be prepared, and Lord, that you'd be honored. It's in Christ's name, amen. Amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen.

- In Christ alone.

- That's great. Dear Lord, we just come before you this evening and we just wanna thank you for who you are. We thank you that you are perfect God. We thank you that you're sovereign. We thank you that you love us, even though we are sinful, even though we stray from you, that you continue to give us reminders of your grace, of your daily mercies. And we pray, Lord, that we would always remember this and that we would always just respond in worship and thanksgiving. We pray, Lord, as we just have times of discussion tonight, give us strength, let us have fruitful discussions, and let it be just a blessing to us. In your name we pray, amen. - Okay, I'd like to highlight a couple announcements for you guys.

Looking forward to this weekend as we have special Thanksgiving dinner. Unfortunately, the registration for that is closed, but wanna give a reminder to all of you to be in communication, whether it's sign up for potluck with your host and your group, okay? And then after that, we're gonna be, you know, celebrating Thanksgiving, et cetera. And then come December, we will have a busy season of Christmas parties. So for the BAM singles ministry, there is a group Christmas party on Saturday, December 14th, which is at 5.30 p.m. in the main sanctuary. Please make sure to sign up for that and come ready dressed in red or green attire for a great, great time of fellowship. And then also, likewise, the family ministry is gonna be having their Christmas party on December 7th at 5 p.m.

So I just wanna make a highlight note of this because the family ministry, you guys are preparing like a special presentation or you're involved in preparations and coordinating like video for that. Just because you're doing the performance doesn't mean you're automatically signed up. So please make sure that you individually sign up for the event, okay? And then for that family ministry Christmas party, if you are a member and you've been safety trained, we do need some helping hand to take care of the children and do babysitting, and we would appreciate that a lot. So please sign up for that if at all possible to help out with childcare during that time. A final announcement for you guys is that our next season of BBA is gonna be starting.

And so there is going to be a sign up for that on the app and the website. There is both the BBA and also the ladies WBBA that'll take place for church fellowship, okay? So please make sure you sign up for that. All right, please go into your time of discussion and we'll be back at eight o'clock.
